No Speed Limit on the road of life!

Testimonials

Here is a sampling of what my Life-Coaching and Mentor clients have to say:

Eric Palmer is that rare and vital combination: a dreamer who makes things happen. Better yet, he gets other people to dream big and achieve their dreams, too. He has consistently helped me focus my thinking about career planning and organizational effectiveness–and he’s helped me be more self-confident in the process. His students will be lucky indeed to have such a creative, visionary, and approachable teacher.

Eric and I re-connected at a time when my business was in transition. I knew that he had experience in this area and asked for his advice. He not only provided expert business advice, but also personal career counseling and life-coaching. His perspective, suggestions, and exercises helped me re-focus my efforts in a way that was very constructive and provided great results in only two months. Eric is an amazing person and I would recommend him without reservation for life-coaching, goal planning and creativity training.

There’s a saying in India that when the student is ready, the guru (teacher) will appear. I for one believe that because I connected with Eric at a time of transition, I needed help identifying the best way forward, and I needed somebody who brought the perspective, vision and focus that I couldn’t at the time, and I am truly blessed to have him as mentor and coach.

Eric brings a lot of strengths to the table, but what he does especially well is help you discover your latent and/or hidden strengths so that you operate from a position of strength and alignment. And he gives you practical tools and techniques to work with to boot, so that before long, you find yourself (re)discovering your passions and pursuing your dreams. An incredible listener, he tailors his suggestions on the fly to work with what you bring to the table. Most important however, he works at your pace, which really sets you free to engage at a deep level mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Eric helps you be the best “you” that you can possibly be, and I could not recommend a better teacher, mentor, philosopher, or guide!

In March 2008, I requested an introduction to Eric Palmer via a LinkedIn contact. Eric’s profile caught my attention as I was desperately seeking guidance on how to get the career and life I was unsuccessfully trying to achieve. His profile of a career and life coach was appealing, and he was nice enough to take on the task of assisting me by teaching me the tools I needed to achieve my goals.

I expressed my mounting frustration regarding my years of planning and working towards a career and life that wasn’t coming to fruition. Eric assured me that with hard work and dedication my goals (which I wasn’t sure were dreams at this point) were attainable. The first exercise I was given was to write down my goals and put them in priority order. I am an exceptionally organized person dependent on Microsoft Outlook and thought this exercise silly because I know what I wanted. I’ve always known what I wanted. I am just having trouble getting there. Several months later, I was surprised when I revisited my list - I had actually achieved a few of my goals!

I am not a religious person. I genuinely feel if one can overcome the challenge of giving into negativity, you have a greater success at meeting your goals. Hard work and dedication - in my case years of perseverance, has helped get me closer to where I would like to be. I began thinking I was going to be perceived as desperate if I kept telling everyone I want to be a creative professional. It turned out it was just the timing. I got my current job as a Print Production Designer because the creative director of the marketing department remembered I was interested in that type of position. Even though it had been at least a year later, when an opportunity became available, he remembered me and brought the opportunity to my attention. I drew upon all my knowledge and experience from my previous work experience and put it towards this opportunity. After several interviews, I was offered the position! I start Monday. A few weeks after that offer, I had an Art Director call me and say year after year she saw my digital portfolio come across her desk, and she held on to it. This year, she has an opening. I have my first cover shoot on Saturday. Writing down my goals, staying focused and positive, being persistent and having someone to guide me has made a significant impact on my current success, and I look forward to continuing to work with Eric and obtaining all of my goals.

Eric did life coaching with me at a time where I felt that my direction in life and in my career were ambiguous. I had been at a new job for around a year and I felt the pressures of the job weighing on me and interrupting my ability to actually ’smell the roses’ and enjoy life. I felt that the only way to realize happiness was to change jobs. However, after working with Eric, I realized the tremendous talents and energies that I was harboring and he encouraged me to put them to good use. The one thing Eric said to me, which I’ll never forget is “Do what you’re doing now well, even if you don’t like it”. I applied this approach to my job, and amazingly, I actually started to exceed at work and my mentality and confidence began to soar. I’ve also shared this with others who have been in similar situations, and they constantly say, “you know what, you’re right”. It is truly incredible what an attitude adjustment and a boost in confidence can do for one’s life. I never would’ve had these revelations had I not worked with Eric. It is also worth noting that Eric has reaped the benefits of being coached and is living proof that it works, which is why he’s so compassionate about helping others now.
